Welcome, {username}

This is your account page for the Jellyfin server Lawrence shares with you. Bookmark it — come back any time to change your password, email or contact details.

The two links you’ll use

Same username and password on both (and on this page).

Asking for new content

Open request.alpine-ghoul.ts.net, search for what you want, click Request. You’ll get an email when it’s been added and is ready to watch.

Reporting a problem with something already on the server

On the same request site, find the title, click into it, and hit the Issues button near the top of the page. Pick what’s wrong (sound, subtitles, quality, missing episodes, etc.) and Lawrence will see it — much faster than a text.

Putting the request site on your phone

No app store needed — your browser can pin it to your home screen so it behaves just like an app:

  • iPhone (Safari): open the request site → tap ShareAdd to Home Screen
  • Android (Chrome): open the request site → tap Install app (or Add to Home Screen)

How the library tidies itself

To stop storage filling up, content is removed when no one is watching it. Two rules:

  • If you asked for something but haven’t started watching it within 90 days, it’ll be removed.
  • If you watched something but haven’t gone back to it within 30 days, it’ll be removed. (Any rewatch — even a couple of minutes — resets the 30-day clock.)

How to keep something forever

In Jellyfin, every film and show has a heart icon — sometimes shown as a star, sometimes labelled “Favourite” depending on the app. Click it on anything you want to keep, and that title is exempt from the tidy-up. It stays forever, or until you un-favourite it.

Spotting things before they go

A red badge appears on the poster reading “Leaving in N days” — at least a 7-day warning. Either watch it (resets the 30-day clock) or favourite it (saves it permanently).

If something I wanted has gone

Just request it again at request.alpine-ghoul.ts.net — the system will try to find and download it again. Most things come back, but it depends on what is still available.
