The two links you’ll use day-to-day

Same username and password on both (and on this page).

Apps for watching

The service uses an open-source client app called Jellyfin — that’s the name to search for in your app store. After install, you’ll point it at the URL below and won’t think about the name again.

Device App
iPhone / iPad Jellyfin (free, App Store)
Android phone / tablet Jellyfin (free, Play Store)
Apple TV Swiftfin (free, App Store) — generally smoother than the official app on tvOS
Smart TV (LG, Samsung, Sony) Look for Jellyfin in your TV’s app store; otherwise cast from your phone
Computer Just open https://watch.eaden.co.uk in any browser

When you first open an app, it’ll ask for the server URL — paste https://watch.eaden.co.uk and then sign in with your username and password.

Asking for new content

Open request.eaden.co.uk, search for what you want, click Request. Check the title’s own page on the request site for status (Downloading → Available).

To get notified when it’s ready: on request.eaden.co.uk, click your avatar in the top-right cornerUser SettingsNotifications (not the “Settings” link in the left sidebar — that one’s admin-only). Tick Request Available and Save. Email is off by default; web push, Telegram, Pushover, Discord and others are also available — see the Seerr notification docs.

Reporting a problem with something already on the server

On the same request site, find the title, click into it, and hit the Issues button near the top. Pick what’s wrong (sound, subtitles, quality, missing episodes, etc.) and I’ll see it — much faster than a text.

Putting the request site on your phone

No app store needed — your browser can pin it to your home screen so it behaves just like an app:

  • iPhone (Safari): open the request site → tap ShareAdd to Home Screen
  • Android (Chrome): open the request site → tap Install app (or Add to Home Screen)

How the library tidies itself

To stop storage filling up, content is removed when no one is watching it. Two rules:

  • If you asked for something but haven’t started watching it within 90 days, it’ll be removed.
  • If you watched something but haven’t gone back to it within 30 days, it’ll be removed. (Any rewatch — even a couple of minutes — resets the 30-day clock.)

How to keep something forever

In the watch app, every film and show has a heart icon (sometimes shown as a star, sometimes labelled “Favourite” depending on the device). Click it on anything you want to keep, and it’ll be exempt from the tidy-up. It stays forever, or until you un-favourite it.

Spotting things before they go

A red badge appears on the poster reading “Leaving in N days” — at least a 7-day warning. Either watch it (resets the 30-day clock) or favourite it (saves it permanently).

If something you wanted has gone

Just request it again at request.eaden.co.uk — the system will try to find and download it. Most things come back, but it depends on what’s still available.

About your data

  • Stored on the server: your username, email, contact details, watch history, request history. Server logs include IP address for around 24 hours.
  • Not stored or shared: no analytics, no tracking, nothing sold or shared with anyone. Traffic does pass through Cloudflare for HTTPS and routing — their privacy policy covers that hop.
  • Want your account or watch history deleted? Message me. Same for a copy of what’s stored.

Your account & getting help

  • Forgotten your password? On the account.eaden.co.uk login page, click Reset Password — you’ll get an email with a link to set a new password. (Resetting it here also resets your watch-app login.)
  • Want to change your email or other contact details? Use the Contact Methods section on this page.
  • Want to change your username? Message me — that one isn’t self-serve.
  • Anything else, or something’s broken? Message me directly.
